Tintern Grammar is an active and committed learning community with over 145 years of excellence and care. We inspire academic and personal achievement for students from ELC to Year 12. Our Parallel Learning model is the best of both worlds, the perfect balance of single-gender and co-education.

Co-curricular

Our varied co-curricular program provides many advanced opportunities for students develop a variety of skills and help them find their passion. From sports to performing arts, from debating to music and across a range of academic extension programs, each student is challenged to become an active part of the school community.

Our Horizons Program aims to identify students with high intellectual potential, and to enhance their learning experience by offering them a range of extension and enrichment activities that extend beyond the classroom. These include things like quizzes, tournaments and games of strategy that are designed to challenge the way they think.

This week the Tintern Grammar community showed their commitment to by deeds not words, providing the Les Twentyman Foundation with Christmas hampers for 'at-risk' youth in Melbourne.

Staff from across the School created festive hampers packed with food and hygiene products which were purchased thanks to generous fundraising activities throughout the year.

The @LesTwentymanFoundation is integral to keeping young people who experience hardship connected and engaged with their education.

Jaymie and her team were announced National Champions and Grand Champions 2024 for open elite pom (Grand Champions means highest score irrespective of age category), 2nd place and 2nd Grand Champions for Open Elite Lyrical, 4th place Open Elite Jazz, 4th place Open Elite Hip Hop.

Congratulations to our Dux Ethan Zhou who achieved an ATAR of 99.85, and International Dux, Patrick Shao, who achieved an ATAR of 99.5. It was fantastic to welcome them on-campus this morning and celebrate their outstanding achievement with them.

The Class of 2024 has achieved remarkable VCE results:
• 10% achieved an ATAR above 99, placing them in the top 1% nationally
• 21% achieved an ATAR above 95, placing them in the top 5% nationally
• 40% achieved an ATAR above 90, placing them in the top 10%
• 66% achieved an ATAR above 80, placing them in the top 20%
• Perfect study score of 50, achieved in three subjects: Specialist Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, and Creative Digital Media.

Congratulations to this year’s overall Dux Ethan Zhou who achieved an ATAR of 99.85, and to our International Dux, Patrick Shao, who achieved an ATAR of 99.5.

We had strong growth in our median ATAR of 87 and our median study score of 34.

As change-makers and custodians of our future, and with the Tintern Compass as their guide, these graduates leave Tintern Grammar full of hope and opportunity, prepared to live a life of purpose and meaning.
