Celebrating the Class of 2023 – Junya (Helen) Tan
Junya (Helen) studied English as a Second Language, Business Management, Specialist Mathematics and General Mathematics in her final year of school. Her strong work ethic paid off in her results as the International Student Dux for 2023.
She showed strong leadership as the 2023 International Captain and won the 2023 International Student Award.
‘The care I received at Tintern, improved my motivation to study. My teachers always encouraged me to ask questions, taking every question I asked seriously and patiently helping me.
Studying in a group of friends can reduce stress and improve study efficiency. The classmates in my study group ignited my enthusiasm for a love of learning.
The care from my parents, teachers and classmates gave me a sense of security and stimulated my curiosity for learning, perseverance and real interest in acquiring knowledge’.
