Year 5

Your daughter will experience Parallel Learning with single gender classes, designed to develop a love of learning and the confidence for girls to excel. Single gender classes continue to Year 9, with co-education in the Senior years from Year 10 to 12. Parallel Learning provides the perfect balance of social development with the progression to more inquiry based and independent learning, as students prepare for future study and work pathways.

Discovery and wonder begins in Year 5 at Tintern Grammar. Personalised learning challenges and engages our girls, ensuring solid foundational skills and are ready for their transition to Middle School.

Our girls find their voice, undertaking Leadership training where they discover leadership skills and explore their aspirations. Understanding their strengths and challenges, our girls develop a strong identity, confidence, and belonging to a caring community. Camps to Canberra, Sovereign Hill and a Surf Camp provide challenges and learning about self and our country. Specialist classes in STEAM, Music, Visual and Performing Arts, French, Library, Sport and PE inspire curiosity and creativity and the unique opportunity for hands on learning at our Tinternwood Farm.
