Green Team Beach Art Project Complete!
Over the course of the past two terms, members of the Green Team worked diligently, with the help of Ms Waud, on the Green Team Art Project. Using washed up rope that was found on beaches around Melbourne and on the Duke of Edinburgh Great South West Walk hike, we were able to create a piece of art that could be put on display around the school. The aim of this project was to create awareness of how beach rubbish, especially rope, pollutes our oceans and endangers sea life. Discarded rope is often ingested by sea life and sea creatures can also entangle themselves in it. The art project was a great opportunity to get to know others in the Green Team, whilst creating an art piece that started a conversation about the pollution on our beaches.
