Mrs Baulch Awarded the Alex Lyne Fieldwork Geography Award
Congratulations to Tintern Grammar’s Head of Geography, Mrs Naomi Baulch (YG 1991), who was awarded the Alex Lyne Fieldwork Award at the Geography Teachers Association of Victoria Annual Conference held in August. This award is an internationally recognised competition open to all Geography teachers.
Mrs Baulch entered the Phillip Island Fieldwork Study undertaken by all of our Year 10 students. The judging panel were very impressed with the quality of her submission, stating that her entry “provided engaging, appropriate and challenging activities and reflected all that is ‘Best Practice’ for Geography teaching. The range of data collection and recording techniques used by the students was outstanding”.
Mrs Baulch has subsequently been invited to present at the “EuroGeo 18” conference in Cologne to an audience of European Geography educators.
