Celia Pacquola YG 2000: Huge congratulations to Celia Pacquola YG 2000, comedian and actress, who this week won the AACTA award for ‘Best Supporting Actress in a Television Drama’ for her role in ‘The Beautiful Lie’. Celia has joined the long list of comedians to be acclaimed for serious roles. Celia plays a sharp-witted mother of three who is cheated on by her husband in the ABC mini-series The Beautiful Lie. This follows other roles in ABC comedy productions including Utopia and Rosehaven. According to the Sydney Morning Herald Celia could be up for bigger things: “Just as for Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting, Jim Carrey in The Truman Show and Whoopi Goldberg in The Colour Purple, it’s a role that revealed a surprising depth to Pacquola’s acting.”
