Tintern Grammar seeks to appoint a Secondary School Co-Curricular Co-ordinator and to lead the teaching and learning and who will contribute enthusiastically to the broader positive culture of the school.

 

About the Role

This is a three-year position of Leadership appointment in conjunction with a permanent teaching role. As the Co-Curricular Co-ordinator, you will lead the Co-curricular Activities Program across Year 7 – 12.  This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire co-curricular program.  The role requires an exceptional educator and leader who is able to teach up to VCE and who is passionate about engaging and motivating students. Proven leadership skills are essential to lead the program.

 

The successful candidate will be appointed to a secondary ongoing teaching position at Tintern in their relevant teaching method. However, the role of Co-Curricular Co-ordinator is for an initial fixed term period of three years.

 

This role commences Semester 1 2025.

 

About You

You will be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching, and experience in leadership.  You will demonstrate:

·         Experience as Co-Curricular Co-ordinator or similar role

·         Experience teaching to VCE

·         Ability to support teaching staff to deliver Co-curricular opportunities

·         Strong leadership, staff management and mentoring skills

·         Care and connectedness with students

·         Current VIT registration

·         Relevant qualifications

·         Strong IT skills

·         Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and interact with both adults and students

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills

·         Knowledge of their subject within the VCE and Australian Curriculum Frameworks where relevant

·         Ensure the highest quality pastoral care for students and staff

·         Be willing to be involved in all aspects of the School’s programs
